Before establishing MindforYou, our founder Carol completed a dementia design course at the Iris Murdoch Centre at University of Stirling taught by its founder, Prof Mary Marshall.
MindforYou use the specific principles derived from this course to help us select our holiday properties.
We visit every property before booking to ensure its suitability, generate travel instructions, identify appropriate excursions and complete risk assessments.
Our Holiday Staff are only employed through personal recommendations and have significant experience in dementia, either professionally or personally.
Caring is in their DNA and they are on hand to support you from 9am to 9pm.
All our staff share the MindforYou passion to enable our guests to still enjoy everything life has to offer.

Tailored support enhances the lives of people living with dementia. This is why we have a maximum of 5 couples on our holiday and a minimum of 1 member of staff to 2 people living with dementia. We take time to learn everything about your loved one with dementia before your holiday, including visiting you in your own home to understand what you need to make your holiday somewhere comfortable and familiar.
Its not just bricks and mortar that make somewhere safe and relaxing, it’s knowing what people enjoy, asking what special biscuit accompanies their cuppa, knowing their favourite music. It’s this personal knowledge that helps our guest settle into our holiday properties, relax, make new friends and enjoy quality time together.
